Lovely hotel, great buffet style breakfast, very convenient
The hotel is very nice, a good setting and a very freindly staff, accomodation excellent, food good, will stay again.
Our stay at the Bridge hotel was was very relaxing, the staff were helpful the room was well decorated, clean & spacious. Wished we had stayed a little longer. When in the area again we will definitely be using the Bridge hotel again.
The room was very claustrophobic with not enough air or light coming through the very small windows
Hotel is very run down, rooms are dreary and carpet very worn. Bathroom clean but basic and old fashioned with lino floor!! Would not recommend this to anyone
Friendliness of staff, quiet and comfortable
Allocation of the Riverside "Honeymoon" Suite with its space to spare & everything I needed to work in the room was the best part, followed closely by the excellent smoked salmon & scrambled egg breakfast
The whole hotel is in need of an upgrade & a touch of tlc, but nothing presented me with a problem
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor was relaxing, good parking, food ok
The room was too hot (no heating on though), the barman didn't appear well informed about how to serve different drinks (although he was polite and friendly)
Great car park, good location.
Unfriendly staff, the guest information book reads like a prison manual informing you of all the extras they will charge you for
Friendly staff and a good smoked salmon and eggs breakfast
Double Room smalll. TV lost resolution when watching from bed and only had some of the main channels. Bathroom door would not stay shut and interfered with small working area.
Staff were excellent as was the food
The warmth and stuffiness of the rooms - the sash windows were old and would not stay open. The TV did not work properly - no BBC programmes were available. A notice on the door asked for understanding for the refurbishment which it said was ongoing, but we saw no sign of it. Being adjacent to the road meant the room was very noisy at night
Very friendly and helpful staff offering a warm welcome. A lovely welcoming feel to this hotel
Really could do with a refurbishment. The room we stayed in, although spacious, was rather dated and in need of some tlc. The hotel in general could do with an update and tidy
Good accomation at very reasonable tariff.
Would have liked a light bar menu to be available on sunday evening as only a sunday lunch was provided on sundays and we didn't arrive until early evening.
For an overnight stay the bridge hotel was good, however, we were only in the hotel for a nights rest and breakfast - too little time for a fair assessment
We were woken at 3.00a.m in the morning by a phone call from the bridge hotel asking what time we would be arriving. However, they had got the day that we were staying wrong. We had to mention this to reception before we got an apology - it would have been nice for management to at least leave a note with a reception to apologise.
The staff and their proactiveness. We thought we might want sandwiches on Sunday, mentioned it but didn't order any. The staff went ahead and placed the order and sure enough when Sunday came we were hungry and very grateful for the staff's proactiveness and thoughtfulness.
Our room, 117, needed cutains for all the windows on the right hand wall as you walk in. Yes, they are attractive as they are during the day but at night when the fire exit and outdoor lights shone through them keeping us awake they were very frustrating. Please please resolve this.
